History & Background

Wuhou Shrine, built in 223 AD, is dedicated to Zhuge Liang, the legendary strategist of the Three Kingdoms period who served the Shu Han kingdom. The shrine complex includes halls honoring Liu Bei (founder of Shu Han) and Zhuge Liang, with statues, steles, and murals depicting their stories. It is one of the most important Three Kingdoms heritage sites in China.
