History & Background

Longjing (Dragon Well) tea has been produced in the hills west of Hangzhou for over 1,200 years. During the Qing dynasty, Emperor Qianlong designated 18 tea bushes as "Imperial Tea." The terraced plantations produce China's most famous green tea, known for its flat leaves and delicate flavor. Spring harvest (Mingqian) is the most prized.
